On November 30, 2019, a stabbing incident shook the shopping district in The Hague, leaving three people injured. The attack occurred at the Hudson's Bay department store in Grote Marktstraat, a major shopping area lined with retailers and brands.
Police are still searching for the suspect, described as a 'slightly dark-skinned man' with curly hair, aged between 40 and 50, wearing a black top, scarf, and grey jogging bottoms.
"We are currently taking all scenarios into account," a Dutch police spokeswoman said, as reported by the ANP news agency. "We are conducting extensive investigations into the stab incident... Due to the complexity, this takes time."
Police helicopters flew overhead, and several emergency vehicles were on site, as members of the public gathered behind a police cordon on the street.
The stabbing was not far from parliament in The Hague, which is the seat of government for the Netherlands and home to many international organisations.
Earlier that day, two people were stabbed to death in a terror-related attack on London Bridge in the heart of London.
