Itumbi Ordered to Pay Child Support After DNA Confirms Paternity

On November 29, 2019, the Children's Court in Nairobi made a ruling in a case involving Dennis Itumbi and the mother of his child.

The court ordered Itumbi to pay an interim maintenance of Ksh. 20,000 for his child, pending the hearing and determination of the case.

This decision was made after DNA results confirmed that Itumbi is indeed the father of the baby girl.

The ruling follows a suit filed in court by the child's mother through family law advocate Enricah Dulo.

The lawyer is seeking to have Itumbi start paying for the child's upkeep, including Ksh. 50,000 monthly maintenance, a medical cover, and school fees.
