Unai Emery's tenure at Arsenal came to an end on Friday morning following a 1-2 home loss to Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Europa League.

Emery, who had been in charge for 18 months, endured a poor run of form at the club, with Arsenal slipping to eighth in the Premier League and failing to win in seven matches in all competitions.

Former Paris Saint-Germain coach Emery's departure was met with reactions from several Arsenal players, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil, and Alexandre Lacazette.

On November 29, 2019, Bukayo Saka took to Twitter to express his gratitude to Emery, who had given him his debut for Arsenal the previous year and provided him with numerous opportunities since then.

"This same day last year you gave me my debut for @arsenal and since then you have given me plenty more opportunities and shown a lot of faith in me. For this I will always be grateful. Thank you and good luck for your future??" Saka tweeted.

Emery's sacking marked the end of an era at Arsenal, and the club will now look to appoint a new manager to lead them forward.
