Speculation is rife about the status of the relationship between Citizen TV's Jacque Maribe and her boyfriend, Joseph Irungu, alias Jowie, after photos of Maribe were removed from Jowie's Instagram account.

On Friday, November 29, 2019, photos of Maribe were deleted from Jowie's Instagram account, sparking rumors that their relationship may have hit a snag.

Maribe was released on bail in February 2020 after a court ruled that her bail application be reinstated.

It is unclear why the photos were removed, with some speculating that Jowie may have been instructed by authorities not to share photos of Maribe, who is a suspect in the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani.

Others have suggested that Jowie may have been hacked or that someone may have taken control of his account.

Maribe and Jowie's relationship has been under scrutiny since Jowie was arrested in June 2018 and charged with Monica Kimani's murder.

Maribe was also arrested and charged with being an accessory to the crime, but she was later released on bail.

It is worth noting that Jowie has been in prison for over a year and has been using his time to reflect on his life and relationships.

He has also been using his time to write and has even penned a book about his experiences in prison.
