On November 29, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Kenyenya Sub-County, where a middle-aged man allegedly poisoned his six-year-old son before attempting to take his own life.
According to Area County police Commander Martin Kibet, the suspect had a quarrel with his wife at Mokomomi Village, which led to the horrific act.
The boy was rushed to Magenche dispensary, where he sadly passed away while undergoing treatment.
However, the man who attempted to take his own life survived and is currently receiving treatment at Kenyenya Sub-county hospital.
Police are investigating the incident to determine what could have inspired the man's actions.
