Kenya Police and Wazalendo will face off on Sunday in a crucial match for the second position in the men's Premier League, as the 2019 Kenya Hockey Union season comes to a close at the City Park Stadium in Nairobi.

With Wazalendo holding 33 points and Kenya Police trailing behind with 32 points from 17 matches, the stakes are high for both teams.

Wazalendo's coach, Fidhelis Kimanzi, downplayed the significance of the match, stating that the team's focus has always been on player development. However, he acknowledged that the pressure will be on Kenya Police to maintain their second position.

Kenya Police's coach, Patrick Mugambi, expressed his team's determination to secure the three points, citing their desire for revenge after Wazalendo beat them 2-1 in the first leg.

As the season concludes, several teams are vying for positions in the top tier, with Strathmore University already securing their spot. The side, coached by Meshack Senge, will face Parklands in a match that will determine the relegation spot.

Other matches scheduled for the day include Sikh Union taking on Western Jaguars in Kakamega, and Sailors battling United States International University of Africa (USIU A) in a Premier League match.

Meanwhile, in the women's Premier League, Strathmore University Scorpions will face Amira Sailors in a match that will decide the third-place finish.

Additionally, the fight for the golden stick in the men's and women's Premier League will be at play, with Chris Wokila (Greesharks) and Festus Onyango (Strathmore) both on 11 goals, and Jackline Mwangi (Blazers) and Gilly Okumu (Strathmore) leading the women's category with eight and seven goals respectively.
