Onesmus Kihara Mwangi, the former Member of Parliament for Kigumo Constituency, passed away on Thursday night at Nairobi West Hospital.
According to reports, Mwangi was receiving treatment for diabetes when he succumbed to the illness.
As news of his death spread, tributes began pouring in from his constituents and fellow politicians.
Current Kigumo MP Wangari Mwaniki shared a heartfelt message, saying:
"Remembering a man I respected and supported. Hon. KĪHARA MWANGI: MP Kīgumo Constituency in the 8th & 9th Parliament. We will cherish your legacy of honesty and fear of God forever. Rest in Eternal Peace. Amen!"
Many of his constituents also shared messages of condolence, including Ndung’u Samuel, Kimani Benard, Stephen Ngahu, Dancun Kimani, and Reginah Muthoni.
