On November 24, a disturbing incident occurred at an estate in Komarock, where a security guard was caught on camera being assaulted by a man.
Justus Kamoja, a 31-year-old broker, appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate Angelo Kithinji at the Makadara law court on November 29, 2019, in connection with the incident.
According to reports, Kamoja was driving and wanted the security guard, Damaris Kemunto, to open the gate for him without clearance. When Kemunto refused, Kamoja became furious and beat her up before members of the public intervened.
Kamoja pleaded not guilty to the charges and requested an out-of-court settlement. The court granted him a cash bail of Sh30, 000 pending mention on December 11.
