Published on November 29, 2019, Pastor Apewajoye, the husband of gospel singer Ruth Matete, has been forced to address claims that he wedded the musician while still married to his first wife, Juliet Aihinomo.
The allegations emerged from Nigeria, with many claiming that Apewajoye was still married to Juliet when he tied the knot with Matete in a colourful ceremony.
However, Apewajoye has denied the claims, stating that he and his wife are doing well and want to be allowed to enjoy their lives and ministry.
"First of all I want to thank everyone who stood and still standing by me and my wife. I also want to thank everyone who is busy seeking to destroy. In everything we give thanks to God. We made a vow to God and regardless of what comes our way we will keep this vow," Apewajoye wrote in a recent social media post.
Matete, who has had a troubled love life, has previously been linked to former Tahidi actor Prince Tsyder, with whom she dated after winning the Sh5 million prize money in a gospel competition.
