November 29, 2019 - Arsenal has made a shocking decision to sack coach Unai Emery after a string of poor results.
The club's owners have taken the drastic measure following intense discussions after the team's dismal performance.
Emery, who has been in charge of the team for 18 months, has been relieved of his duties after the team's 2-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on November 28.
This is the worst run of results for the team since 1992, under coach George Graham.
Josh Kroenke, representing the Arsenal board and Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, said: "We would like to thank Unai and his staff for their efforts in trying to improve the team in the circumstances they were given. We wish Unai and his staff all the best for the future."
Freddie Ljungberg has been appointed as the interim head coach, and the club is already looking for a permanent replacement.
