On a somber note, we report the passing of Lenny Rono, a former body-building enthusiast from Kericho County, who had been battling a mysterious condition since 2016.

According to local musician Fay Tall, who had been running campaigns to save Rono, the body builder lost his life, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions.

Fay Tall expressed her gratitude to those who contributed to Rono's medical appeal, saying, 'Sadly Ronny lost his life…I just want to thank everyone who contributed to his medical appeal when I posted here. My condolences to the family and friends.'

As reported earlier, Rono's condition began with a small swelling in his right arm in June 2016, which spread to his left hand in April 2017. Despite undergoing biopsy at the Kericho county hospital, doctors were unable to determine the cause of his condition.

Published on November 29, 2019, Rono's story serves as a cautionary tale of the dangers of Synthol injection, a substance that can lead to severe health complications, including muscular atrophy and numbness.
