On November 29, 2019, detectives from Buruburu police station made a significant arrest in a case of embezzlement of funds from the Kenya-Qatar Diaspora Sacco Limited.

The arrest was made possible by a tip from the new management of the Sacco, who had been investigating the alleged theft of millions of shillings from Sacco members.

The accused, pastor Habbakuk Wamududa, was charged with stealing, forgery, fraud, and embezzlement of members' funds.

He was arrested alongside the former Accountant Denis Omollo and former vice chairman Boniface Ngugi.

Attempts by Habbakuk to plead for an out-of-court settlement were thwarted by his accusers, who demanded that the matter be subjected to the legal route until its logical conclusion.
