On November 27, 2019, a devastating plane crash occurred north of Kingston, Ontario, resulting in the loss of seven lives, authorities in Canada confirmed.

The small plane, a Piper PA-32, crashed in a heavily wooded area over three miles north of Kingston, a city situated between Toronto and Montreal, and near the US border.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating the crash, which occurred during a flight from the Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport to Quebec City.

According to the board, the plane 'collided with terrain' at a very steep angle, with deteriorating weather conditions prevailing at the time of the crash.

The pilot had communicated with flight officials in Kingston before the accident, but the identities of the victims have not been released as of Thursday evening.
