On November 27th, 2019, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 3,600 invitations to apply for permanent residence through the Express Entry program, bringing the total to 78,900 so far in 2019.
The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for this draw was 471, which takes into account factors such as age, education, skills level, work experience, language proficiency, and family ties to Canada.
While a job offer in Canada is not required to participate in Express Entry, additional points are awarded to those with job offers, making it a valuable opportunity for skilled workers.
Eligible candidates must meet the requirements for one of Canada's three Federal High Skilled Economic-class immigration categories: the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.
Selected candidates receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), allowing them to apply for permanent residence along with their qualifying relatives, including spouses and dependent children.
Canada's Express Entry program has seen significant growth, with a record 89,800 ITAs issued in 2018 and a target of 81,400 ITAs for 2019.
