Published on November 29, 2019, a shocking incident emerged in Mwingi, Kitui County, where a pastor is alleged to have defiled and impregnated over 20 girls.
The pastor, who had been asking parents to send their children to him for prayers, allegedly took advantage of the minors after they attended the prayers.
Parents of a missing girl stormed the pastor's home, demanding to know the whereabouts of their daughter, and it was then that local residents gathered around and began revealing how the pastor had been preying on minors in the area.
Some parents claimed that the pastor had been intoxicating some of the girls before taking advantage of them.
According to Mwingi Sub-county OCPD Peter Mutuma, more than 10 girls were rescued from rental houses neighboring the pastor's house.
The pastor managed to escape, but his wife has since been arrested as investigations into the matter continue.
