As the government struggles to ensure the safety of Kenyans, the Kenya Bureau of Standards (Kebs) has been criticized for its failure to regularly monitor and seize suspect products, exposing consumers to deadly toxins. Ken Butiko, a concerned citizen, is demanding that Kebs managers be held accountable for their 'criminal abdication of duty.'

Published on November 28, 2019, the issue of aflatoxin-contaminated maize meal is just one of the many concerns facing Kenyans. The proliferation of goods containing deadly chemicals poses a grave danger to consumers, and it is up to Kebs to ensure their safety.

Meanwhile, residents of Kiambu are still reeling from the effects of traffic congestion on Kiambu Road. Anjna Shah has appealed to the authorities to handle the inbound traffic with more care, as the current situation is causing children to arrive late at school. The recent closure of the Ridgeways Road has exacerbated the problem, leaving commuters with no access to the slip road near Naivas Supermarket.

Another pressing issue is the poor condition of the Kinoo 87-Kanyariri road, which connects the Kikuyu and Kabete constituencies in Kiambu County. Michael Karichu is calling on local MPs Kimani Ichung'wa and Githua Wamacukuru to work with Deputy Governor James Nyoro and the Kenya National Highways Authority to refurbish the road for the benefit of taxpayers.

Finally, Titus Gateere is advocating for the correct spelling of the river in Nyeri County, which is currently referred to as Sagana. The river, known as Thagana by the local Kikuyu community, played a significant role in their lives and culture, and it is time to revert to the original spelling.
