On November 27, 2019, the last day of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination, Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha declared the exercise a success.

Magoha commended teachers, education officials, and security personnel for their diligent work throughout the exercise, stating that 'majority of the teachers have acted with discipline and helped us deliver.'

He also highlighted the efforts of officials in thwarting cheating cases across the country, with 21 cases reported nationwide.

Among the reported cases was the arrest of 26 people, including candidates and teachers at St Theresa's Primary School in Eastleigh, Nairobi, where some had mobile phones to compromise the integrity of the national examinations.

Additionally, 7 people impersonating KCSE candidates were arrested in Kisii and later charged.

Magoha expressed confidence that the marking process would be accelerated, with results expected before Christmas.
