On November 28, 2019, Gor Mahia Head Coach Steven Polack was named Fidelity Insurance, Sports Journalists Association of Kenya (SJAK) coach of the month for October.
Polack's impressive run of victories, which kept the defending champions at the league summit, earned him the accolade.
Under his guidance, K'Ogalo secured three victories in three matches, defeating Nzoia Sugar 2-0 and narrowly beating Zoo and Kariobangi Sharks each by a solitary goal.
Polack's 100% record earned his team nine points, surpassing other coaches in the running for the October award.
He received a personalized trophy and 75,000 shillings, following in the footsteps of the last four Gor Mahia coaches who have landed the award since its inception.
