On November 28, 2019, FIFA released its latest rankings, with Kenya's Harambee Stars moving up two places to 106th position.

The team's decent run of results in the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers has contributed to this impressive ranking.

Kenya staged an impressive draw against record African football giants Egypt away in Cairo and earned another draw against Togo at home.

However, a home loss to Mozambique in an international friendly in October had previously dropped Kenya's ranking to 108.

Kenya is now tied with Palestine on 106th position and is the reason for their gain of two places, despite moving from 107th to 106th.

Senegal maintained its status as the best-ranked African nation, while the top five in the CAF remained unchanged with Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria, and Morocco maintaining their positions.

Belgium remains the top-ranked nation in the world after going through the UEFA European Championship qualifiers unbeaten, while world champions France, Brazil, England, and Uruguay round up the top five.
