On Thursday, November 28, 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta commissioned 100 cadet recruits into service at the Kenya Military Academy (KMA) in Nakuru County.
The event also saw the president commission eight allied cadets from Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda.
President Kenyatta, accompanied by Chief of Defence Forces Gen Samson Mwathethe and Defence Cabinet Secretary Rachel Omamo, urged the new recruits to serve the country with dedication and discipline.
He emphasized that a professional defence force is crucial in achieving national goals.
The Kenya Military Academy is the training institution responsible for training military cadets from Kenya and allied East African countries in both academic and military leadership.
