On November 27, 2019, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Kisumu County received a tip-off about a man in possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition.
Following the tip-off, the detectives located the suspect, Fredrick Odhiambo Nudu, at his house in Kisian, Kisumu County.
Upon searching the premises, the detectives recovered a loaded Jericho pistol hidden in the ceiling, along with six rounds of ammunition.
The suspect was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
