On September 20, 2018, a night that would change the course of a murder trial, a house girl named Pamela was present at Terryanne Chebet's residence. She witnessed a series of events that would later become crucial in the investigation of Monicah Kimani's murder.

According to Pamela, Jowie, who was dating Jacque Maribe at the time, had left the house earlier that evening. Later, around 1am, she heard Jowie shouting for help. She found his clothes and belongings downstairs and saw Brian Kassaine, a neighbor, and his wife asking for Jowie's identity card to take him to the hospital.

As Pamela watched, Jacque Maribe came from upstairs and followed Brian and his wife outside. Jowie was found in Maribe's car, bleeding from his body and wearing a vest. The group left, and Pamela went upstairs to check on the baby. She saw the bedroom light on and decided to switch it off, only to find a gun and blood on the floor.

Shaken, Pamela called Terryanne Chebet, who told her to sleep. However, Pamela couldn't sleep, and later that night, Jowie and Jacque returned, with Jowie's hand bandaged. They went upstairs to sleep, accompanied by Brian.

The following morning, Maribe returned Jowie's clothes, and her mother visited the house. They cooked and ate, and at some point, Jowie came downstairs to greet her. Maribe left for work at 3 pm, and her mother followed with the child. Later that evening, Brian came and asked for the car keys, saying he was taking Jowie back to the hospital.

Pamela gave him the keys, and they didn't return. Jacque also didn't come back until the next morning. Pamela then asked for an off from Jacque, who was leaving to see Jowie, and spent the night at Terryanne Chebet's house.
