On November 8, 2019, Moses Odumbe, a 49-year-old teacher from Homa Bay, left his home in Kogana village, Karabodni Location, to mark KCPE examinations in Nairobi. He was supposed to return home after the exercise but never did.

Days turned into weeks, and the family grew increasingly worried. His wife, Joyce, reported that his phone was switched off, and the last time they heard from him was on November 10 when he spoke to his son, a student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

Education CS George Magoha announced the KCPE results on November 18, but Odumbe was nowhere to be seen. It wasn't until Tuesday that he was finally located, alive and sitting at Kamukunji Grounds, thanks to CCTV footage that revealed he had spent the night in an unidentified location in Nairobi from November 9 to 11.

Odumbe's relatives, including Colins Odhiambo, were overjoyed to have found him. However, they were shocked to discover that he had lost his senses and could hardly recognize some of his relatives.

He has been taken to Nairobi West Hospital for a medical examination.
