On November 27, 2019, the BBI launch at the Bomas of Kenya was met with criticism from several leaders, including Moses Kuria and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria took to social media to express his disapproval of the event, describing it as an ODM National Convention.

He further stated that he is not buying the suggestion by some leaders, led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, to have the BBI report fine-tuned by a Committee of experts.

“Much as I strongly support the BBI report, I will vehemently oppose the formation of a committee of experts. I strongly suspect that what was released today was a Bonoko report. The actual one is the one that will be released by the Committee of Quacks that will be formed to ‘refine’ the draft. Stay woke, good people,” he averred.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, who found himself on the receiving end of what he termed as ‘skewed’ event, has issued a statement where he shows defiance and stand by his belief that the Bomas event did not reflect what the BBI sought to stand for.
