On November 28, 2019, a tragic incident shook the village of Kombok in Ramba Location of Rachuonyo East Sub County.
A 37-year-old widow, Margaret Akinyi Otieno, was brutally murdered by her inheritor, Ademba Ngura, in a domestic dispute.
According to Rachuonyo East Sub County Police Commander Charles Barasa, the woman sustained deep cuts in the neck that resulted in her death.
Barasa revealed that the suspect used a sharp machete to kill the woman before he went into hiding.
The officer further stated that the deceased's neighbours reported that the two had been entangled in drawn-out domestic differences since they started cohabiting.
As the police launched a manhunt for the suspect, Barasa appealed to members of the public with any relevant information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect to come forward.
The body of the woman was taken to Rachuonyo South sub county Hospital mortuary for a postmortem.
