On November 28, 2019, a video of President Kenyatta's bodyguard ejecting Jubilee digital strategist Dennis Itumbi from the main dais during the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report launch at Bomas of Kenya went viral.
According to the (https://www.facebook.com/DailyNation/videos/2470538936502518/) shared by Daily Nation, Itumbi was seen shaking hands with another person before being approached by a security official in a grey suit.
The official asked Itumbi to leave the main dais, but he appeared to resist, choosing to take the opposite direction. A few seconds later, the bodyguard was seen forcefully pushing Itumbi out of the main podium.
Itumbi, who identifies himself as Secretary of Digital, Innovation, and Diaspora Communications at State House, claimed his ejection was a case of mistaken identity on social media.
"I had a beautiful moment as I left Bomas a few moments ago...with the Deputy Escort Commander, State House who kept telling me, we know you are NOT Dennis Itumbi but his brother...Hahaa! Lucky For me, a colleague saved me... all in a day's Work, a few minutes later he was clearing the road for me…" Itumbi wrote.
