On November 28, 2019, Moses Odumbe, a 49-year-old primary school teacher from Kogana Primary School in Rachuonyo North sub-county, went missing during the marking of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examinations.

More than three weeks later, on Tuesday at about 7pm, a good Samaritan found Odumbe at Kamukunji Grounds in Nairobi and informed the police.

Odumbe's brother, Jekoniah Odumbe, was called by the police, and he informed the family that Odumbe had been found.

According to Collins Ochieng', Odumbe's brother-in-law, the teacher had suffered from severe starvation and had lost his senses, making it difficult for him to recognize some of his relatives.

Odumbe was taken to the Nairobi Hospital for treatment.
