On November 28, 2019, a tragic motorcycle crash occurred on the Makindu-Wote road in Makueni County, claiming the lives of two motorcyclists.
According to eyewitness Urbanus Mutisya, the two riders were speeding in the same direction when the boda boda operator signaled an indicator to change direction, but the other rider failed to notice, resulting in the accident.
Wote town Boda Boda association chair, Mr. Mutisya, has warned its members against over-speeding in the rapidly growing town, urging parents not to allow their children to ride motorbikes to the town.
The Makueni police have collected the two bodies to the Makueni referral hospital mortuary.
