On November 24th, a disturbing incident occurred in Komarocks phase five, where a security guard, Damaris Kemunto, was unlawfully assaulted by a 31-year-old man, Justus Kamoja.
According to reports, Kamoja, a broker from Bahati, arrived at Kemunto's workplace in a Nissan Van with unknown occupants. He claimed to be visiting someone in the estate but was unsure of the house number, prompting Kemunto to close the gate for further consultation.
However, Kamoja turned violent when asked to clarify his destination, shouting at Kemunto that he would finish her despite pleas from others to leave her alone. The footage of the incident, which went viral, shows Kamoja attacking Kemunto and pushing her to the ground before she was rescued by occupants in the van.
Despite the severity of the incident, which left Kemunto with injuries on her right leg, arm, and back, Kamoja pleaded not guilty in court and was released on Sh30,000 cash bail. The matter will be mentioned on December 11th.
