Co-op Bank has made a significant impact in the lives of its customers by partnering with Western Union to facilitate easy international money transfers.

As of 2019, sending and receiving money from abroad was a daunting task that often took several days or even months to complete.

Co-op Bank recognized the need to simplify this process and partnered with Western Union to make international money transfers quick and easy.

To send money through Western Union, visit the nearest Co-op Bank branch and fill a remittance form indicating the amount to be sent, destination country, and the recipient's name.

Hand the form to the teller along with the applicable funds, including the transaction fee. You can also debit your Co-op Bank account if you wish.

The teller will process the transaction and provide you with a receipt and MTCN number. Inform the recipient that the transfer has been completed and provide them with the MTCN number.

To receive money through Western Union, request the sender to provide you with the MTCN number and visit the nearest Co-op Bank branch with your ID or passport.

Complete a remittance form and once verified, you will receive your money. You can also receive the funds directly into your Co-op Bank account or to your mobile wallet if the sender indicated so when sending the money.

With Co-op Bank and Western Union's partnership, sending and receiving money from abroad has never been easier.
