Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard has received a boost ahead of the highly anticipated 'Clasico' against Barcelona after tests revealed a bruised but not twisted ankle.

On November 27, 2019, Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane expressed concerns about Hazard's availability for the December 18 match after he hobbled off during a Champions League draw against Paris St Germain.

However, a medical report released by the club on Wednesday revealed that Hazard had a bruised right ankle, easing concerns about his participation in the match.

According to newspaper Marca, Hazard is expected to miss the trip to Alaves on Saturday but will be back for Real's following game at home to Espanyol on December 8.

Real Madrid are second in La Liga, level with Barcelona on 28 points after 13 games, and will visit their rivals at Camp Nou next month.
