Published on November 27, 2019, police in Kerugoya, Kirinyaga County, have arrested two brothers accused of terrorizing residents.
According to Kirinyaga Central sub-county Police Commander Doreen Oduor, the suspects were apprehended following a tip-off from members of the public.
During the operation, police recovered over Ksh.200,000 as well as several stolen items from the suspects' house in Kimandi village.
Among the recovered items were motorcycles, gas cookers, and other items suspected to have been stolen from a shop in Kerugoya town that was reportedly broken into on Tuesday night.
The police boss assured area residents that police patrols have been increased in Kerugoya town and surrounding villages ahead of the festive season.
The suspects were detained at the Kerugoya Police Station as further investigations continue.
