On November 27, 2019, gospel artist Emmy Kosgei sparked a heated debate on marriage and sex after sharing a provocative post on Facebook.
The 35-year-old singer, known for her hit song 'Taunet nelel', weighed in on the trending topic of sex among married people, which has been branded 'twa...twa...twa'.
While praising the BBI report launched at Bomas of Kenya, Kosgei shared a message that left tongues wagging, saying 'Hii mambo ya BBI?? na twa?twa? na bedroom … munaonaje, kuna uhusiano kweli…. nevertheless #onekenya #onepeople #onebedroom????????? ama kila mtu ako na bedroom yake?? haya kumbuka mama pastor alisema??????? ni kila mahali.'
Some of her fans interpreted the post as a longing for good sex or a desire for intimacy, while others wished they had met her before.
One of her followers, Charleston Maina, wished he was there with Kosgei for a 'twa...twa moment', to which she positively responded with 'Twaet'.
Another fan, Bernice Obonyo, observed, 'If you preach the true gospel of Jesus Christ, there will be no need for such talk in the pulpit.'
Jimmy Kibet posed the question, 'I hope Mzee Madabuko is still rising to the occasion and giving the same medicine, otherwise this message means you are missing sex.'
Emmy and Bishop Madabuko have never been blessed with a child since they got married, but she has explained that childbearing is a personal choice.
