President Uhuru Kenyatta has officially launched the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report, which has been at the center of heated debates among Kenyans.

On November 27, 2019, Uhuru unveiled the report at the Bomas of Kenya, an event attended by top government officials, including Deputy President William Ruto.

According to Uhuru, the report aims to unite Kenyans, not for his or Raila Odinga's benefit, but for every Kenyan. He emphasized that the report addresses nine key issues that have hindered the country's progress.

Uhuru also addressed critics who have been dismissing the report, saying he has no intention of using it to extend his stay in power.

"This report is for the benefit of all Kenyans, not for my or Raila's gain. I want to share it with you and have you understand it," Uhuru said during the launch.

He also urged politicians to create a conducive environment for the country's progress, saying, "Many have forgotten that in 2010, I sought Ruto's help, and we resolved our differences. This is the same approach I have taken with Raila, because we need peace. I want politicians to create an environment of peace for the people and the country to move forward," Uhuru said.
