Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams concluded on Wednesday, marking the end of a three-week period.
Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha revealed that 90 phones were confiscated during the exams due to cases of malpractice.
Magoha stated that despite concerns, there were no major cheating incidents involving early leakages, but 300 schools were under close surveillance.
He specifically mentioned Eastleigh in Nairobi, Kisii, Migori, Homabay, Wajir, and Garissa as areas of concern.
According to Magoha, 21 examination centers were found to have engaged in malpractice, with two cases being particularly serious.
Magoha singled out Kisii as one of the schools with more serious malpractice cases, stating that there would be very few people who definitely collected money.
He reiterated that the results of the KCSE exams would be released before Christmas, as previously announced.
