Manchester United youngster Max Taylor is set to make his return to action after being diagnosed with testicular cancer a year ago.

On November 27, 2019, Taylor, 19, was given the all-clear to resume training after undergoing chemotherapy, and now he will be part of the United squad for Thursday's Europa League clash against Astana in Kazakhstan.

United boss Solskjaer is expected to give young players and fringe squad members a chance to impress against Astana, with James Garner, 18, Mason Greenwood, 18, and Dylan Levitt, 19, also part of the squad.

Earlier this year, Taylor was given positive news in his fight against cancer when it was revealed he had responded successfully to chemotherapy.

"I would like to thank everyone at the club that has helped me since day one," Taylor said. "The nurses at the Christie and HCA healthcare, plus Melissa from MacMillan Cancer Support, have all provided me with wonderful care. Words cannot describe how much my family has helped me through this."
