Published on November 27, 2019, Pastor John, the husband of gospel singer Ruth Matete, has fired back at his ex-wife, dismissing her claims that they are still married.
According to a social media post by Pastor John, he and Ruth made a vow to God to stick together through thick and thin, and they intend to keep this vow despite any obstacles they may face.
"I want to thank everyone who stood and still standing by me and my wife. I also want to thank everyone who is busy seeking to destroy us. In Everything, we give Thanks to God. We made a vow to God and regardless of what comes our way we will keep this vow.. I and my wife are doing good and want to be allowed to enjoy our lives and Ministry. We love you all❤ Thank you, everyone, for your love, prayers, encouragement, and support. God bless you greatly PASTOR BELOVEDJOHN."
His response comes just a week after Ruth's ex-partner claimed that Pastor John was still hers, but Ruth had already clarified that he was her ex-husband and they were no longer married.
