Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has expressed disappointment in midfielder Ross Barkley's behavior after a video emerged of him in a nightclub during the international break.

Published on November 27, 2019, the video has sparked a reaction from Lampard, who feels that Barkley showed a lack of professionalism.

"He showed a lack of professionalism as far as I’m concerned," Lampard told reporters ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League trip to Valencia.

Although Lampard understands that his players are human and have lives outside of football, he believes that Barkley should have been more mindful of his actions.

Barkley, 25, has been out of action since October 19 due to an ankle injury and has made only nine appearances for Chelsea this season.

Chelsea are currently second in Champions League Group H, level on seven points with leaders Ajax Amsterdam and third-placed Valencia.
