Published on November 27, 2019, divisions have already emerged among Kenyans over the implementation of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI). The initiative, aimed at healing the country's deep-seated divisions, has instead sparked heated debates and disagreements.
As the BBI report was released, various groups and individuals began to express their opinions on the matter. Some have welcomed the initiative, seeing it as a step towards healing the country's wounds, while others have expressed skepticism and even outright opposition.
With the BBI implementation process underway, it remains to be seen how these divisions will be addressed and resolved. One thing is certain, however, the BBI has brought to the forefront the deep-seated differences that exist among Kenyans.
