Published on November 27, 2019, Jacque Maribe, a former citizen TV reporter, has turned down an offer from a lawyer who promised to get her back on TV.

After a four-hour bail hearing, Justice James Wakiaga postponed the ruling, keeping Jacque and her fiancé, Joseph Irungu, in custody until October 30, when the court will rule on their bail application.

The court will also decide whether Jacque can continue anchoring news if released on bond.

However, in a surprising twist, Jacque has quit her job on TV citing 'personal reasons' and is now rebranding herself as an influencer and event host.

But it seems she has plans of getting back on TV, as she turned down the lawyer's offer.

Wycliffe Anyona Marangeti, a lawyer, had offered to revise an order restraining Jacque from live TV at no fee, but she responded with a cryptic message, 'We will be back.'

It remains to be seen if Jacque will indeed return to TV, but for now, she is focusing on her new career path.
