Former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has left fans guessing about his next move after posting a cryptic message on Instagram.
Just a day after Jose Mourinho responded to claims he could sign Ibrahimovic for Tottenham, the 38-year-old Swedish international uploaded a short clip to his Instagram account featuring the shirt of Swedish side Hammarby.
The back of the kit bore the name of the Swedish superstar, sparking speculation that Ibrahimovic may be heading back to his homeland.
However, Hammarby's head of communications Axel Pershagen quickly denied any involvement, stating that Ibrahimovic had not signed a contract with the club.
"Zlatan has not joined us yet. If he had signed a contract, it would be on our website," Pershagen said.
Hammarby coach Stefan Billborn also expressed his skepticism about Ibrahimovic's potential move, saying, "I'd be really surprised if Zlatan came to us, I don't believe it."
Meanwhile, Mourinho had earlier dismissed claims that he would be looking to bring Ibrahimovic to Tottenham, citing the presence of Harry Kane as the club's top striker.
"We have the best striker in England (in Kane), we have one of the top two or three strikers in the world," Mourinho said.
"It (a move for Zlatan) would not make any sense when we have Harry Kane."
