A 49-year-old teacher from Kogana Primary School in Rachuonyo, Homa Bay County, has been found alive after weeks of searching.

Moses Odumbe, who had gone missing after marking KCPE examinations in Nairobi, was spotted on CCTV footage at Kamukunji Grounds on Tuesday evening.

Odumbe had left his rural home at Kogana village, Karabodni Location on November 8, 2019, at 5:30 pm, telling his family he was headed to St. George's Girls Secondary School in Nairobi to mark the national exam papers.

However, he failed to return, and his family grew worried after Education CS George Magoha announced the results of the KCPE examinations on November 18, 2019, but Odumbe was nowhere to be seen.

His wife, Joyce Odumbe, told the Daily Nation that she could no longer reach him on phone as it was switched off.

Odumbe was last heard from on November 10, 2019, when he reportedly communicated with his son, a student at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

He has been taken to Nairobi West Hospital for a medical examination.
