A Nairobi South Primary school is disputing the KCPE marks of a pupil who scored 70, citing a discrepancy with the pupil's internal exam results.

The pupil, whose identity has not been disclosed, scored an average of 311 marks in their last three internal exams, but only managed 70 marks in the KCPE.

According to the school management, the KCPE results do not reflect the pupil's ability, with the pupil scoring 14 marks in English, 14 in Kiswahili, 28 in Mathematics, 12 marks in Science, and 2 marks in Social Studies.

The school is planning to petition the Kenya National Examination Council to re-mark the pupil's papers.

This is not the first time the school has disputed KCPE results, having filed a similar petition last year.
