Published on November 26, 2019, a Nairobi primary school has disputed the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results of one of its candidates who scored a shocking 70 marks.
Nairobi South Primary School officials attributed the reduced mean score this year to the disputed results.
The school's management has decided to petition the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) to re-mark the pupil's papers.
According to the school's records, the pupil had scored 290, 338, and 306 marks consecutively in the last three terms.
However, the KCPE results showed a drastic drop in the pupil's performance, with 14 marks in English, 14 in Kiswahili, 28 in Mathematics, 12 marks in Science, and 2 marks in Social Studies.
This is not the first time the school has disputed a candidate's marks, as a similar incident was reported last year.
