HIV Infections Rise Among Kenyan Youth

According to a report by NASCOP, HIV infections have risen among Kenyan youth, with the majority of cases reported in counties along the Lake Victoria region.

Among the top five counties with the highest number of HIV infections are Homa Bay with 700 cases, Siaya with 620 cases, Kisumu with 616 cases, Kakamega with 437 cases, and Migori with 432 cases.

Nairobi County ranked second with 660 cases, while Nakuru County led in the Rift Valley region with 325 cases.

Other counties with reported cases include Wajir, Tana River, Marsabit, Lamu, Mandera, and Isiolo, which reported a relatively low number of cases.
