On November 26, 2019, a Kajiado court denied bail to Kirruti Ole Taraiya, a supervisor at East Matt supermarket, who was caught on camera assaulting a female colleague.
The assault occurred on Tuesday at the Kajiado town branch of the supermarket, where Taraiya allegedly attacked Sharon Atieno, a cashier.
Following the incident, the Director of Public Prosecution, Noordin Haji, directed that Taraiya be arrested and arraigned.
Initially, Taraiya was arrested and later released after Atieno allegedly withdrew her complaint, but he was re-arrested on Saturday and detained at Kajiado police.
His case will be mentioned again on Wednesday.
