On November 26, 2019, the Harambee Starlets, Kenya's national women's football team, made a triumphant return to the country after winning the Cecafa women's title in Tanzania.
After sweeping all before them in the final match against Tanzania, the team was welcomed back with pomp and colour at the airport, where they were met with traditional dancers and federation officials.
Donning red T-shirts, the team was later driven through the city streets aboard a bus bearing a huge banner that read: 'CECAFA WOMEN'S CHAMPIONS 2019.'
The victory marked a sweet revenge for the team, who had lost to Tanzania in the 2016 final staged in Uganda.
