On November 26, 2019, Uganda's Nile Breweries Limited faced a cyber attack that compromised its website.
The hack occurred between 10 am and 11 am, resulting in the deletion of all content on the website.
A video was posted on the website, with the hacker demanding that the company release a classified formula for one of its beer products within 24 hours.
According to Onapito Ekomoloit, the company's Legal and Corporate Affairs Manager, the hack was taken 'very seriously' and a response team was mobilized to investigate the incident.
Mr. Ekomoloit assured that the company would provide further updates as soon as the information received was verified.
