On November 26, 2019, the Africa Development Bank (AfDB) made a significant commitment to support women in business in Kenya, after a meeting with the country's First Lady, Margaret Kenyatta.

AfDB's Deputy Director-General, Nnena Nwabufo, agreed to provide capacity building for women entrepreneurs in Kenya, a key area of support for the bank.

This move aims to empower Kenyan women to benefit from various development projects, including those undertaken by the Government in partnership with AfDB.
