On January 13th, a tragic incident occurred in Shauri Moyo, Nairobi, where a young man named Eliud Mutwiri allegedly killed his elder brother Timothy Mukaria over a Sh30,000 debt.

According to a sworn affidavit by a detective investigating the case, the two brothers had a heated argument over the money, which eventually led to a physical fight. Their mother intervened, but unfortunately, it was too late to prevent the tragic outcome.

At the time of the incident, Timothy Mukaria was running a shop and had borrowed the Sh30,000. However, Eliud Mutwiri had become impatient and threatened his brother, leading to a police report being filed at Shauri Moyo police station under OB 7/13/01/2019.

Timothy Mukaria was found stabbed in the stomach and rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital, where he was treated before being transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries three days later, revealing that he had been stabbed by Eliud Mutwiri.

The case has now been forwarded to the Office of Public Prosecutions for perusal, with a mention of the case scheduled for December 1st.
